Do I need to pick Dogwalker / Boarding / Trainer when I sign up?
No. Choosing an audience is optional now — the base price and feature set are identical. You can add the matching modules whenever you're ready. If you pick a role, we apply the relevant § 11 TierSchG prompts to your onboarding right away.
What does the 48 h platform backup include?
We back up the entire Pawaro platform (database + uploaded media) every 48 hours to encrypted EU storage. This is included in Basis at no extra cost. If you need additional per-tenant snapshots on a faster cadence (daily/weekly/biweekly/monthly/quarterly), book one of the backup-tier modules from your admin panel.
Do I need a § 11 TierSchG permit to use Pawaro?
Pawaro itself does not require one — but if you board or train dogs commercially in Germany, the law does. Without a valid permit from your local Veterinäramt, you cannot legally accept bookings. During onboarding we ask for your permit number and issuing authority so it appears on your imprint automatically.
Who receives the customer payments?
You do. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Pawaro only charges you a fixed monthly or yearly subscription. We never act as a payment processor and do not hold any customer funds.
Is Pawaro GDPR compliant?
Yes. Hosting is in the EU, data is encrypted in transit and at rest. A data processing agreement (Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag per Art. 28 GDPR) is part of your subscription. Customers can export and delete their data themselves.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly billing runs month-to-month; yearly billing runs until the end of your paid year, then becomes monthly if you don't renew. Export your customer and booking data anytime as CSV / JSON.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Every provider starts on a free name.pawaro.de-style subdomain and can add a custom domain (e.g. your-school.de) later in the admin panel with automatic DNS verification.
Can multiple trainers share one account?
Yes — book the "Additional staff access" module per extra user. Each seat gets its own login with configurable permissions.
